Celebrity - Terms of Use.

OpenPaparazzi treats everyday users like celebrities — whether walking to work or meeting friends, they're in the spotlight. But with fun comes responsibility. These terms ensure a safe, respectful, and playful environment for every "celebrity" user on the OpenPaparazzi Platform.

This Agreement outlines the specific policies, protections, and responsibilities for Celebrity Users — individuals who allow approved users (Paparazzi or Pro) to photograph them through the OpenPaparazzi platform.

The Celebrity Terms of Use form part of the broader OpenPaparazzi App Terms of Use and are binding for all users. Registering as a Celebrity confirms that you have read and agreed to the terms below.

(1) Mandatory Onboarding Steps

Before becoming discoverable as a “celebrity” on the platform, you must complete the following:

Email Verification

All users must verify their email address to activate their celebrity profile.

Profile Photo Verification

You must submit a clear, recent photo of yourself for verification. This ensures:

  • Paparazzi and Pro users can recognise you when you make bookings.

  • You’re the person in your account.

This profile photo will be visible on your public listing.

(2) Your Safety Comes First

We take your privacy, comfort, and control seriously. As a Celebrity user:

  • Only verified Paparazzi or Pro users can view your profile.

  • You choose when you're visible. Toggle your visibility on or off anytime.

  • You approve the moment. No photo is ever taken unless you accept the shoot from a Paparazzi user or book a Pro user.

  • You can report and block anyone who makes you uncomfortable — and we’ll take it seriously.

Any inappropriate behaviour results in immediate action.

(3) Booking Paparazzi Users (Non-Professional)

Paparazzi users are casual photographers who capture spontaneous or simple posed shots.

When booking a Paparazzi user:

  • You must accept a booking request using the app.

  • Once a Paparazzi accepts, they’ll meet you at the agreed time and location.

  • You must review the photos and approve the ones you want to purchase within 20 minutes of a shoot.

  • There is a minimum payment required for Paparazzi sessions, based on the duration of the shoot. This is OpenPaparazzi’s minimum purchase policy:

    • Up to 15 minutes: £3 (includes 3 photographs).

    • 15 minutes to 30 Minutes: £6 (includes 6 photographs).

    • 30 minutes to 1 hour: £12 (includes 12 photographs).

After a 1 hour session, the minimum purchase policy stops. It is then up to you as a Celebrity user whether you would like to purchase more photographs than the minimum amount stated.

Please Keep in Mind:

  • Paparazzi users are not professionals.

  • Photos are submitted quickly, with no retouching or editing.

  • These are meant to be fun, candid moments — not curated shoots.

If a Paparazzi user makes you feel unsafe, you can cancel, block, and report them.

(4) Booking Paparazzi Pro Users (Verified Professionals)

Paparazzi Pro users are professional photographers who have submitted ID, a portfolio, and passed full verification.

When booking a Pro:

  • You can view their portfolio, pricing, and service details upfront. You choose the time, location, and style of the shoot.

  • The Paparazzi Pro user sets pricing.

What to Expect:

  • High-quality images.

  • A more curated, professional experience.

  • Optional editing or delivery formats, depending on the Pro User and your preferences.

Pro users are expected to maintain professional conduct, respect boundaries, and protect your privacy at all times

(5) Before, During & After a Session

Before:

  • You choose the location and time.

  • You can cancel or reschedule through the app. Please respect the Paparazzi's time; if you cancel a Paparazzi Pro user's session, the following cancellation terms will apply:

○ 5 hours or more before the scheduled shoot: full refund issued.

○ Between 5 hours and 3 hours before the shoot: 25% refund issued.

○ Between 3 hours and 2 hours before the shoot: 50% refund issued.

○ 2 hours to 1 hour before the shoot: No refund; full charge applies.

○ 1 hour or less before the shoot or no-show: No refund; full charge applies.

Short Notice bookings for Paparazzi Pro: For bookings made within one hour of the desired start time (i.e., short-notice bookings), you are eligible for a full refund if the booking is cancelled within 10 minutes of confirmation. After the 10-minute window has passed, the full amount will be charged and is non-refundable.

During:

  • Always meet in safe, public spaces.

  • Ensure that the person taking your photos is the person registered with OpenPaparazzi - you should be able to clearly see this from their profile picture. If in doubt - request to see some ID.

  • You’re welcome to contact support or bring a friend if you're unsure.

  • Relax, have fun and enjoy the experience.

After:

Paparazzi:

  • You’ll preview photos before purchasing when using Paparazzi.

  • You have 20 minutes to decide which photos you would like to keep.

  • You must abide by the minimum purchase policy when using Paparazzi.

Paparazzi Pro:

  • You will have a chance to review some shots with the Pro user at the end of the photoshoot.

  • Your full set of photos will be emailed following a Paparazzi Pro session within 24 hours. You can leave a rating and feedback after every session.

(6) Privacy, Consent & Respect

All users must follow these rules — and so must you:

  • Do not request inappropriate or unsafe photo setups.

  • Do not share images without an individual’s consent.

  • Treat all users that you interact with on OpenPaparazzi with kindness and respect.

  • Report any Paparazzi who overstep, follow, or disrespect boundaries.

You always have the right to say “no thanks” — even mid-session.

(7) Ratings & Reviews

Your feedback helps us keep the platform safe and positive:

  • You must rate Paparazzi or Pro user after a session.

  • These ratings help guide future bookings for you and others.

  • Serious or repeat complaints will result in account reviews.

Your voice shapes this platform.

(8) Disputes and Reporting

If something goes wrong:

  • Use the in-app chat to resolve minor misunderstandings.

  • For serious issues, report the user through the app or contact support.

  • Our team will review the full session log and take appropriate action.

We prioritise user safety above all else.

(9) Customer Support

You can reach our support team through in-app chat or email. Most enquiries are addressed within 48 hours.

Time-sensitive safety concerns (e.g. harassment, impersonation, unsafe encounters) are handled within 24 hours through the in-app Report feature.

(10) Account Suspension & Termination

Your account may be suspended or permanently closed if you:

  • Repeatedly violate platform rules.

  • Make false reports or engage in abuse.

  • Use the app to harass, deceive, or endanger others.

This applies to all user types — celebrity, Paparazzi, or Pro.

(11) Agreement and Acknowledgement

By becoming a Celebrity user on OpenPaparazzi, you agree to:

  • Respect all participants and platform rules.

  • Only engage in photo sessions you’re comfortable with.

  • Use the app in a fun, safe, and social way for everyone.
